Why this matters

Open a Music project and the Transitions, Overlays and Mattes windows show a Music section first. The 15 transitions are built for cutting to a song: flash zooms, strobe and negative flashes, RGB glitches, whip pans, shakes, shutter bars, light bursts, blackout drops and more. Each one hits exactly on the cut and comes with its own sound. The 10 overlays add club lasers, stage lights, glitter, a neon frame, prism leaks, an equalizer, concert bokeh, glitch scans, flare sweeps and confetti. The 10 mattes put your footage inside a scene: a concert screen, a phone recording, a vinyl sleeve, a film strip, a neon box, a camcorder, a mixtape, a spotlight, a now playing card and a gig ticket. Every effect looks the same in your export as in the editor, in both 16:9 and 9:16. Clone dance lives in the Animations window of a Music project. Film several takes of yourself dancing in the same spot with the camera kept still, then add them. One take keeps its background as the room, and the dancers in the others are cut out in your browser. Vidorio listens to each take and lines it up with your song, so every copy moves in time with the music, and the clones appear one by one on the beat with an optional flash, outline and hit sound. Music projects only show the effects made for them, and your other projects keep their usual libraries.

What changed

Music projects now have their own effects: 15 beat transitions, 10 overlays and 10 mattes, plus Clone dance, which fills one room with copies of you that land on the beat.
