🚀 Getting started
What is Vidorio?
Vidorio is an online video creation and publishing workspace. Start with an idea or your own script, build narration and subtitles, add stock, uploaded, or generated visuals, edit everything on a timeline, then export an MP4 or send the finished video to a connected social platform.
How do I make my first video?
Open Create, choose the video settings, then enter an idea or import your own script. Review the script before generating narration and media. In Edit, replace any footage you do not want, adjust timing, subtitles, music, and visual layers, then use Download MP4 or move to Publish.
How does a script become a timeline?
Vidorio divides narration into scenes called cuts. Each cut receives timing, a media search, and the matching part of the narration and subtitles. The result is an editable starting point: you can rewrite text, replace media, trim cuts, move layers, or change visual styling before export.
Where are my projects saved?
Signed-in projects and workspace settings are saved to your Vidorio account and synchronized as you work. Watch the save or sync status before closing the page, especially after uploading large media or making many timeline changes. Some working files are also cached in your browser to keep editing responsive.
Which languages can I use?
Use the language options shown in Create. Script, voice, transcription, and word-alignment availability can vary by the model, voice, and language you select, so always review pronunciation and subtitle timing before export.
✍️ Scripts & content
Can I use my own script?
Yes. Import or paste your own text instead of generating a script, or generate a draft and revise it. Review the final spoken text before creating or regenerating narration because later script changes may require updated audio, subtitles, or scene timing.
How do I change the media search for a scene?
Edit that cut's SEARCH line to change the automatic search direction, or open the media picker and search manually. Choosing a new result replaces only that cut, so the rest of the timeline stays intact.
Should I review AI-generated content?
Yes. Scripts, narration, subtitles, visual prompts, metadata, and media suggestions can be inaccurate or unsuitable. Check facts, names, pronunciations, rights, captions, disclosures, and platform fields before you export or publish.
🎞️ Footage & images
Where does stock media come from?
The media picker and automatic footage filling use Pixabay for footage and images. Music search uses Jamendo. These providers set their own licenses and restrictions. Review the relevant provider terms for your intended use because Vidorio does not grant additional rights to third-party media.
Can I upload and reuse my own media?
Yes. On an eligible paid plan, upload videos, images, music, or sound in the relevant account Library. Each library upload can be up to 250 MB and counts toward the storage allowance shown for your plan. Uploaded visuals can replace a main cut or sit on the Video+ lane; uploaded audio can be reused in music or Audio+ where supported. You remain responsible for having permission to use the files.
Can Vidorio generate images?
Yes, where AI visual generation is available for your plan. Choose the visual tier and review the quoted credit cost before starting. Generated images can still contain errors or unexpected details, so inspect them before adding them to a project.
A clip looks black, frozen, or unrelated. What should I do?
Open the cut and reselect the media. Try a simpler search phrase, switch the manual source, choose a result yourself, or upload your own file. If a temporary provider or loading error appears, wait briefly and retry before replacing the whole project.
🎵 Music & voiceover
How do I create or change the voiceover?
Choose an available voice when generating narration. If you change the spoken script later, regenerate the affected narration and review subtitle alignment. Use the editor's audio controls to balance narration against music and other sound.
Can I download the narration separately?
Yes. When narration is ready, use its download action to save the generated audio as an MP3 independently of the final video.
How do I add background music?
Open the Music panel to search from the prepared music prompt, revise the prompt yourself, or choose an uploaded track from your library. You can fill the timeline, then move, trim, and balance individual tracks.
What are Music and Audio+ used for?
Use the Music lane for the background bed. Use Audio+ for manually placed sound effects or other independent audio clips. Audio+ clips can be moved, trimmed, mixed, and faded without changing the narration track.
Why is part of the timeline silent?
Check that narration has finished loading, that the clip has not been muted or trimmed away, and that its volume or fade is not set to zero. For music, add another track or use fill again if the available results did not cover the full timeline.
💬 Subtitles
How are subtitles generated?
Vidorio aligns captions to the narration, including word-level timing where available. Alignment is automated and can miss names, unusual pronunciation, music, or unclear speech, so play the video through and correct any mistakes.
Can I edit subtitle text, timing, and style?
Yes. Edit cue text, adjust cue and word timing, and choose the font, colors, placement, and animation. Text presets may intentionally replace matching subtitle words on screen so the same phrase is not shown twice.
Can I download subtitles separately?
Yes. Use the subtitle download action to save the current captions and timing as an SRT file.
Why did subtitle timing change?
Regenerating narration, editing spoken text, changing cut timing, or applying text presets can change the available caption timing. Reopen the Timing panel after those edits and check the cues around each changed scene.
🎬 Editing & timeline
How do I trim or replace a cut?
Drag a cut edge to change its timing, select the cut to choose different media, or use the cut actions to add, remove, or reorder scenes. Check the narration and subtitle boundaries after a large timing change.
What are Video+ and Audio+?
Video+ is a separate lane for uploaded images or videos placed over the main edit. Audio+ is a separate lane for sounds and audio clips. Drag files directly onto the matching lane or add them from the library, then use Quick Edit for size, opacity, motion, mix, and fades where available.
Can Vidorio place visual effects automatically?
Yes. The Auto action can place a restrained selection of transitions, overlays, mattes, or transcript-aware text across the edit. Auto is a starting point: preview every placement and remove or retime anything that does not fit your story.
How does workspace collaboration work?
A workspace owner on an eligible paid plan can invite members by email. The member must accept while signed in with the invited address. Members can work in the joined workspace, while the owner controls membership and billing. Wait for synchronization to finish before two people close the same project.
Why does the preview pause when I switch tabs?
Browsers may throttle video, canvas, and animation work in a hidden tab. Return to the editor and allow a moment for media to resume. If the frame still looks stale, move the playhead or pause and play again.
⬇️ Exporting
How do I export an MP4?
MP4 export requires an eligible paid plan. In the editor, click Download MP4, review the quoted credits, and choose 30 or 60 fps. Vidorio prepares a snapshot of the current edit, renders it, and makes the completed MP4 available to download while showing progress.
What quality can I export?
Exports support 30 or 60 fps up to 1080p within the project's aspect ratio and the source-media limits. A higher frame rate can look smoother but takes more processing and uses the credit amount shown before you confirm.
Why does a long or effect-heavy export take longer?
Every clip, subtitle, text animation, transition, matte, overlay, and sound must be prepared and combined. Large uploads or unavailable source media can extend the preparation stage. Let account synchronization finish before exporting and use the progress message to see whether Vidorio is preparing, rendering, or finalizing.
Will later edits change an export already in progress?
No. An export uses the project snapshot captured when that export starts. You can keep editing, but those later changes appear only in a new export.
Can I stop or retry an export?
Use the stop action when it is available, then fix any missing or unsynchronized media before retrying. Avoid starting duplicate heavy exports while the first is still running. A completed server-rendered MP4 is normally available for about one hour after it finishes, whether or not it has been downloaded, so save it promptly.
💳 Credits & billing
What uses credits?
Credit-supported actions include AI generation, voiceover, transcribing uploaded audio or MP4 video, subtitles, audio alignment, server-relayed stock media, music, visual assets, MP4 rendering, and connecting a social profile. Searching, previewing and selecting stock, uploading media without transcription, ordinary timeline editing, and publishing to an already connected profile are free. Vidorio shows a clean rounded quote before a paid action and records the exact final settlement in usage. See the credit cost guide.
How do plans and top-up credits work?
Paid plans include credits that refresh on a monthly credit cycle, including when the subscription itself is billed annually. One-time top-up credits stay on the account until used or the account is deleted. Current allowances, prices, billing intervals, plan limits, and top-up options are shown on the Pricing page and again before Stripe checkout.
What happens when I switch plans?
Before you confirm, Vidorio shows whether a plan change takes effect immediately or at the next renewal and whether an amount is due. A scheduled change can be removed before it takes effect. Stripe handles any immediate or prorated payment shown at confirmation.
How do member seats work?
The workspace owner invites a member by email and the account screen shows the current recurring seat price. Seat billing begins only after that person accepts with the invited address. Removing a member ends their workspace access immediately; the related seat subscription is set to end with its current billing period and is not automatically refunded.
Does Vidorio store my full card number?
No. Stripe processes card details. Vidorio stores billing references and may display limited details such as the card brand and last four digits so you can recognize the payment method.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
Cancelling turns off renewal; your paid plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. Cancelling the plan does not delete your projects or uploaded library media. Purchased top-up credits remain on the account. Refund rights depend on applicable law and the circumstances described in the Terms.
📣 Publishing
Which platforms can I connect?
Vidorio supports connections for YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram. Available fields, privacy choices, draft or scheduling behavior, and account eligibility are controlled by each platform and can differ between accounts.
How do I connect a social account?
Open Publish, create or choose a Vidorio social profile, then select the platform to connect. Complete authorization on the platform's own screen and review every requested permission. Vidorio never asks for the password to that social account.
Does Vidorio publish without my approval?
No. You must select a finished video, review the platform fields, and intentionally submit the publish action. If you explicitly schedule a supported post, such as a YouTube release, the connected platform can publish it at the time you chose.
What should I review before publishing?
Check the video, title, caption or description, thumbnail or cover, privacy, schedule, audience and disclosure settings, music rights, and any first comment. Platform validation can change, so correct every warning shown before submitting.
What happens when I disconnect a platform?
Disconnecting removes Vidorio's stored connection for that account and prevents future publishing through it. It does not remove videos or posts already sent to the platform. Manage existing posts in the platform itself and see the Data Deletion Instructions for revocation links.
🛠️ Account & troubleshooting
How do I sign in?
Sign in with Google or request a one-time code by email. Use the same email each time so your projects, credits, plan, and workspace membership stay connected to the correct account. Never share a sign-in or deletion code, including with someone claiming to be Vidorio support.
A stock, music, AI, or publishing request failed. What now?
External providers can be temporarily unavailable, rate-limited, or reject a request. Read the error, wait briefly, and retry once. For stock, try another source or simpler search. For publishing, refresh the connection and recheck platform permissions and fields before reconnecting the account.
How do I delete my account or connected-platform data?
Open account settings, choose Delete profile, request the email code, enter it, and confirm the final warning. Account deletion is permanent and also cancels active Vidorio subscriptions tied to the account. To remove only a social connection, disconnect it in Publish instead. Read the Data Deletion Instructions and Privacy Policy first.
What should I include in a support request?
Email vidoriocom@gmail.com from your account address with a short description, the page or feature involved, what you expected, the exact error, and a screenshot if useful. Do not send passwords, one-time codes, full card details, access tokens, or private media that is not needed to diagnose the issue.
