Why this matters

Named people, landmarks, species and historical scenes need more than a generic stock-photo keyword. New scripts now save compact searches that preserve the complete subject and relevant context. Photos only, Videos + photos and the Images picker use those searches to retrieve Wikimedia Commons images directly. Matching checks file titles and descriptions, keeps names and dates, and filters unrelated maps and statues unless requested. If no suitable photo is available, the cut remains open for you to refine its search or choose media yourself. Sources, authors and licences travel with downloaded photos; after exporting, download Photo credits and retain them with your video.

What changed

Footage photo search now finds freely reusable Wikimedia Commons images using the subjects saved in your script. Search does not need an extra AI call, and each photo keeps its source, author and licence.

How to use it

  1. Choose photo footage

Open Fill timeline and select Stock only, then Photos only or Videos + photos.

  2. Check the subject

Review the saved search for each cut. Use a complete person or place name and a short visible context; refine an empty result rather than changing the subject.

  3. Keep photo credits

After the video finishes exporting, select Photo credits below the export result to save the sources, authors and licences.
