Why this matters
The editor now follows the newest playhead position instead of finishing preview work for positions you have already passed. Dragging across cuts switches the preview source immediately, keeps the last good frame visible while the next one is decoded, and settles precisely when you release the playhead.
What changed
Timeline clicks, playhead drags, and rapid jumps now update the main preview with less delay while keeping the final frame exact.
How to use it
Open a project
Open any project in the editor and find the main timeline below the preview.
Move the playhead
Drag the playhead across cuts or click anywhere in the timeline to inspect that moment.
Continue editing
Release the playhead or press Play; the preview settles on the selected frame and continues from there.
