Get large recordings into the editor sooner
Long recordings should not become unusable because a connection drops near the end of an upload. Vidorio splits MP4 imports into resumable parts, reports real progress, and continues from the completed portion when an upload needs to recover.
Transcription no longer has to wait for every video byte. An audio-only stream can begin moving through the speech workflow while the larger visual file continues uploading, so editable spoken content becomes available sooner.
Remove pauses without breaking sync
Imported MP3 and MP4 narration can contain long silent gaps that slow down the final video. The Cut dead spots action finds those gaps and lets you decide how much natural pause should remain rather than flattening every breath and transition.
For an MP4, the matching picture is shortened with the audio. The edit remains synchronized, so cleanup does not create a drifting speaker or a timeline that needs to be repaired by hand.
Keep the strongest take
Repeated lines often appear close together when someone corrects a mistake while recording. Vidorio can identify nearby retries in the transcript, recommend the strongest take, and let you confirm which version stays.
This keeps the creator in control while removing a repetitive part of rough-cut editing. The chosen text, audio, and video are cut together as one decision.
How to use it
Import the recording
Add your MP3 or MP4 to the project. Large MP4 files upload in resumable parts with real progress, so an interrupted upload continues instead of starting again.
Wait for the spoken text
The audio is sent to transcription before the full video has finished uploading, so the editable transcript appears sooner than the complete file.
Open Cut dead spots
Right-click the imported audio or MP4 clip on the timeline and choose Cut dead spots.
Choose how much silence stays
Set Minimum dead spot to decide which gaps count and Pause kept after speech to decide how much natural pause remains. For an MP4 the picture is shortened with the audio, so nothing drifts out of sync.
Keep the best take
Turn on Remove repeated takes to let Vidorio find nearby retries, confirm which version stays, then apply the cleanup.
