Why this matters

Article scenes preserve the source publisher, headline, exact quote and link while letting you shape the typography, photograph and motion. New cards contain live text and a separate source photo, so the composition adapts to your video format and remains editable. If a source cannot be read, its supplied quote remains available as a text composition.

What changed

The article stays attached to its source while the selected style controls its presentation. Long text is fitted into separate headline and quotation areas, with a stacked layout for vertical text compositions. Existing captured articles continue to render.

Give article evidence depth and movement

Press room, Photo essay, Archive desk and Blueprint report place the article on a shared perspective plane with its highlights. The camera eases from an angled opening into a readable view of the evidence. Article preparation can now find responsive and lazy-loaded photographs and article image metadata, keep the matching caption, and skip small decorative images. Long text compositions fit the headline and exact quote into separate areas, including in vertical video.

Edit article text and photos directly

New article cards use live text for headlines, source passages, bylines and captions. Photographs are extracted and saved separately, so the scene can reflow for landscape, square or portrait video. Edit article lets you change the display headline, select a passage from the preserved Source text, show or hide the photograph and choose its framing. Longer passages continue across readable sections. Older captured cards can be refreshed with Rebuild as text.

How to use it

  1. Prepare a source

    Open Articles and choose Make card for a researched source, or Make article card for a link and exact quote.

  2. Edit the article

    Open Edit article on the prepared card or a card in In this project. Change the display headline, choose a passage from Source text, or adjust Source photograph and Photo framing.

  3. Refresh an older card

    Choose Rebuild as text on an existing captured article to extract its text and photo again.

  4. Choose the look and place it

    Choose an article style, preview the motion, then use Auto or Add to place the scene.

    In 9:16 videos, a source page now opens in the publisher's phone layout with text you can read, and the camera lands on the marked sentence at a readable size. Cards built from a quote alone now set the sentence to fit the frame and mark it line by line, instead of laying one tilted block over the whole frame.
